Robert's mom's dad passed away about a week and a half ago. I didn't get to know him real well.... but i was able to hear a few of his military and cowboy stories. I remember one he told us about him off chasin cows and their dog got hurt pretty bad, there wasn't much they could do but put him out of his misery, so they went ahead and shot him. I'm not sure if it was later that night or a few days later but that darn dog came showin up at camp.
He did so much in his life, it was fun to hear what he had to say, and to play rook with! I'm glad for the chance i had to know him. He'll be missed but i'm sure he's glad to be with his eternal companion once again!! They had 10 kids. It was impressive to see them all in the funeral line....without payin much attention i thought their spouses were up there with them....but i looked again and it was just the kids. Wouldn't that be fun if me and robert had 10.... i told him we should! It's a fun thought.....but i'm not sure i could handle that many. Here's a pic of Grandpa Obie holdin Brecklyn. He always loved to see and hold her.
