So she's almost 6 weeks old, and here i am getting around to blogging the story of how she got here.....I had been feeling really good and was fine with little baby sherbert coming whenever she was ready, then the Monday before she got here i started having contractions that i thought were the 'real thing' from 3 am to 7 am every 6 minutes, robert took brecklyn to his moms and i called work and told them i wasn't comin.... i showered and the contractions went away.... after that i was READY for her to come NOW :D then three LONG days later on Thursday i caught a cold and when we went to bed that night i told Robert i DIDN"T want her to come that night..... well guess what :)...... 1230 that night i had got up to use the restroom which was pretty much an hourly ritual, had crawled back into bed and my water broke.... or at least i was 98 percent sure thats what had happened. nothing came out till i stood up. I thought my hypnobirth teacher had told me that i could hang out at home even after the water broke.... so i told Robert that we should just go back to sleep because i wasn't having contractions yet...... he knew i wouldn't sleep so he suggested I call the hospital and ask them when we should come in, and they said NOW, just so i wouldn't get an infection... i was a little disappointed at first, because i wanted to relax in bed, but by the time we got there i was having some pretty intense and close contractions, i had 4-5 just walking into the hospital from the van. Roberts mom came over and stayed the night w/ brecklyn. i was dilated to a 5 and was ready for an epidural. they called the anesthesiologist and by the time he came and gave it to me it was about 230 i think, they said they were gonna let us rest, but to let them know if i felt much pressure, after about 30 min i started feeling pressure, but i didn't know if i should call them yet, because w/ Brecklyn i never felt that pressure even when i was having her. they came in and checked me and little Hayden was ready to come already! , we could hear them start hurrying things in the hall.... they said my Dr. would be there in 7 min and not to push. he came, suited up, told me to push, then told me to stop after her head was out, the cord was wrapped around her neck and there was no slack to pull it over her head so they cut it, then one more push and she was out! i couldn't believe it! 1 1/2 pushes was all it took. Since we were up all night and everything went so well, and the hospital beds aren't the most comfortable, and they don't let you sleep anyway, we talked both my Dr. and Hayden's Dr. into letting us go home that same day.
Hayden's been a bit of a fusser, making it hard to go out and about much and making it hard for me to get rest at night, so i've probably been a bit fussy too :) a couple weeks ago Robert took us 3 girls to Grand Junction and my parents came and picked us up. While we were there I took Hayden to a lady that does like natural medicine and massage stuff. a couple times.. not sure what you call it technically. She said hayden had a blockage and it was caused by her umbilical hernia. After leaving there Hayden was much more relaxed, and she's been doing better and sleeping better since. It was so nice to be home and have my WONDERFUL parents help!! My mom and Brecklyn are quite the buddies! It was perfect weather for playing outside, and they did alot of that. Brecklyn loved going out to her garden and picking peas to eat, or green tomatoes (yuck!) It was nice to come back to Cedar and sleep in my own bed and be back with Robert (he was able to come to CO and spend a few days with us in the 2 weeks us girls were there). But we sure miss Grammy and Grandpa and everyone else!! Wish we had a private jet so we could go whenever we wanted!
