hmmmmmm...............

well i was GOING to update my blog and catch up on all the pictures we have .......but my computer isn't reading my card at the moment......so I will just pass on some wise words of advice I heard in church yesterday that I thought was really good!

Jesus said love Everyone..... NOT just those that you feel love you back.....for it is EASY to love them..... but EVERYONE even those that you feel have wronged you!

and in marriages and friendships Offend not, and BE NOT OFFENDED!!

and here is a quick story called "The Invisible People" by Lindy Heaton

I have come to the firm conclusion that there are invisible people that walk among us. They are everywhere. You know those spaces - those big, empty, awkward gaps that you can find between people in almost any public place you will ever go? Well that is where you can find the invisible people. They sit between us in our classes at school, in the cafeteria, on the bus, in the movie theater, at restaurants, at baseball games, at church, everywhere!

I became convinced that there are, in fact, invisible people while I was sitting on a public bus the other day on my way to school. There was an empty seat right next to me. Stop after stop, the bus continued to load new passengers. It was starting to get a little bit full, (except for the space next to me of course). So I squished a little closer to the bus window to make sure that there was a welcoming amount of space open for anyone to take. I even smiled at the new arrivals as they walked by, trying to be inviting. People would glance at my seat but pass right on by. Some of them would even rather stand and hold onto those little hand-holdy-thingies, than take the space next to me. The whole fifteen minute ride to the university my seat remained empty.

I sniffed testing the air. Maybe I stink. I don't think I stink. Do I?

It was at that moment that I became suddenly aware of the invisible people among us. I could only imagine what the newlyarrived passengers must have been thinking when they saw the large space next to me. Things like:

"Man, that's a really fat invisible guy!"

" I'd better not sit there. If I sit on that invisible guy's lap, he might have a conniption."

"Flip! There are so many invisible people on this bus! Now I'm going to have to stand!"

Since I've become acquainted with, and observed the invisible people, I have learned a few things about them. They are not very nice. It is their goal in life to accomplish only two things. One to sit between us so that we cannot get to know one another. And two: to multiply and create more invisible people to sit between us. The more that seperate us, the happier they become.

The invisible people have got us brainwashed. We are all convinced that we are supposed to give up every-other seat to one of their kind, and that it should be uncumfortable to sit next to, or talk to, and ESPECIALLY get to know someone who is not already an acquaintance. Nothing makes an invisible person more mad than when people talk to and get to know each other when there is supposed to be a seat reserved for the invisible, between them.

I have also discovered that there is a way to thwart their wicked plan to divide us. It is simply this. Steal their seats. Where there is a visible person, an invisible person is not. It is most important for us to understand that the invisible people can stay between us only as long as we allow them to. Why don't we make the invisible people stand on the bus and in other public places? I thinkn sitting next to a potential friend, even if it might be a little snug or awkward at first, is a lot better than having invisible friends. Let it be our quest to steal back the seats between us that have been, for far too long, inhabited by the invisible people.

STEAL A SEAT....... MAKE A FRIEND!..... theres always something to be learned from someone!
