Birthday girl, birthday girl!

wow! where does a whole year go?  a year ago we were adjusting to life with two little ones, tryin to figure out why Hayden was so fussy, planning a trip to Colorado to show off the new baby and interview for a job.   Now this year we've just moved to CO, gettin settled in, Robert is liking his new job, loving our 2 little gals, SO excited for another one, and just celebrated little Hayden's 1 year birthday. It's been a good year, we are happy and excited for what all these changes are bringing.
A few things about our Hayden gal......

• she can sign banana, all done, more, bath, drink, and milk.
• her first words besides mama and daddy were horse and doggy, and yesterday she was attempting to say flowers. of course she doesn't say these words clearly, but we know what she's saying.  
• She has fallen in love with horses since moving to colorado. She gives them lots of hugs and LOVES to ride!
• She is super sweet!
• she loves her mama
• she loves her daddy
• she loves her good sister Brecklyn.   We've all had colds the past few days and Brecklyn got the worst of it, fevering constantly for 3 days.  One afternoon, Brecklyn was laying on the floor watching tv, Hayden crawled over to her, gave her 2 hugs, and probably would have more but they weren't being very appreciated.  Poor Brecklyn was so miserable.
• She loves her bed, and will hardly sleep anywhere else.
• She has yet to walk, but can stand alone if she doesn't know she's doing it.
• She LOVES mangoes, hence her Hawaiian Mango Dream Birthday Cake.
• She has become alot more vocal, pretty much since her big day.   Last night she even yelled at Brecklyn for "sharing" food off of her tray.
• she has a love for music.

These first few pics are just practice for her big day...... my mom made me my favorite cake for my early birthday when we came to visit a few days before my birthday.  ( My sweet motherinlaw also made me my favorite cake, on my actual birthday)

 This scary looking cake is her actual birthday cake.  I feel a little bad that I got a little more creative for both of Brecklyns birthday cakes...... but I'll have you know what this cake lacked for in looks, it made up for in taste!  We couldn't think of what to do for her cake, my mom suggested a mango cake since she loves her mangoes.... i looked into it and this is what we came up with!  SOOO GOOOD! I'll post the recipe on my recipe site!

 This is the birthday gal on her actual birthday..... we celebrated a bit on the 13th, and some more on the 14th.

 She was one happy girl! Brecklyn on the other hand.... still sick and miserable.

 Pardon our casualness, but it was a Sunday afternoon, 3 of us had been up almost the whole night before, and we were all sick.  BUT..... we still had a lovely day together :)
