HAPPY BIRTHDAY U*S*A*!!!!!!
We had a really enjoyable Independance Day weekend...... and it was much needed after all 3 of us having some flu bug! Brecklyn's still recooperating but doing much better! I guess we're pretty lucky that this is really the first time she's been sick, except for little colds. Saturday we went tubing down the Virgin River in Springdale. Julie was in town so we invited her and Dari to come with us! I had called the tube rental place earlier that week, and asked the prices and how the river was, and nothing was mentioned about RESERVING a spot...... and i didn't think to ask since I had gone once a few years before and didn't have to reserve one..... anyway we got up there and they didn't have any openings for the day, but suggested going and buying tubes...... so we did, and for only $4 more we now have our own tubes! It was so much fun, and pretty relaxing too! We couldn't decide whether to take Brecklyn with us, i think she would have had fun, but it is kind of a long ride, so she stayed and played with Grandma Nef and their new pool........ i don't think she even missed us. I worked Monday but Robert had it off so he played with Brecklyn all day. They went to the parade in the morning. Then last night we went and watched the Enoch fireworks with some of Roberts family. I was a little worried Brecklyn would be scared so we watched a few on youtube.com beforehand, so she kinda had an idea what fireworks were all about. She ended up really liking them! Here's a few pics of our tubing fun!

Weekend up north.....
This past weekend we went to Provo/Salt Lake. Robert's brother Steve and his wife were blessing their daughter Avery, and it was also my brother's little girl's 2nd birthday. I didn't get any pics of the blessing luncheon or anything, but here's a few from the rest of the trip.
We bought Hailey a slip n slide for her birthday, the girls were gettin ready to play in the water so we decided to go ahead and give her the gift a day early. Brecklyn, Lucy and Jeremiah had more fun with it than she did though.
The three little gals teasing Hesston through the fence.
Brecklyn in her new swimsuit!! She wasn't with me when I bought it, and when I showed it to her the next day I asked her if it was SO cute?!??! She just shook her head and said no. Robert said this is only the beginning.....
Jeremiah giving it a try.....
They blew up balloons and stuffed into their little playroom for a surprise when Hailey woke up.
This woulda been a really cute pic if it was taken 2 seconds sooner, before Brecklyn got sad.
The birthday girl!
A few things I learned about my 4 1/2 yr old niece Lucy while we were playing 20 questions.......
#1 Her favorite colors are pink and purple, but if she had to pick just one, it'd be orange. #2 her favorite number is 6 1/2, because it sounds neat. and #3 Her favorite dessert is Apple Pie......even though she's never had it before. :D cute girl!!
and this pic was supposed to be in the last post. As we were gettin ready to leave the rodeo, Obie saw a girl giving out autographs..... she was Miss princess Iron County or somethin like that....... and he wanted one, so he went down and got one. He was tellin me after that he was going to tell all his friends and make fun of them because they didn't have one...... :) good ol Obie!! he sure is fun to have around!! He's been telling me that we're going to have a carwash at wal-mart this saturday and we could probably each make about $30, and he's going to do the rinsing with his supersoaker!

I WON! I WON!
There was a rodeo here in Cedar last Fri-Sat and me and Thursday night me and Robert talked about going to it, but decided not to because it started at 8pm and Brecklyns normal bedtime is 7, and admission was $10 per person..... which we didn't want to pay if we weren't going to get to see the whole thing. So Friday morning i get in the van to go to work and they are doing a trivia to win a ticket to the rodeo for a family of 6. I usually call for the contests on my 45 min. drive to work and never get through, but i did this time and the question was something like what do you get when you mix copper and zinc and they gave me four choices...... I really had no idea and had to think really fast, but i guessed right (Brass) and won the ticket! We invited Austin and Eleanor over for dinner and to the rodeo. I meant to get a pic of me and El with our baby bellies, but you know me and my slacking with the camera. We ended up leaving halfway through the rodeo, Brecklyn thought all the horses were fun for a little while, but after a while she just had more fun teasing all the people around us so we decided to go. Funny thing..... I think the last thing I won was tickets to a rodeo in St. George from the local tv station when I lived down that way.
